"Bronze "
Bronze with golden patina by Alfred Bucand, dit Dubucand (1828-1894). This French sculptor is known for his groups of animals and his experiments with chemical patinas. During his short period of activity, 16 years, he paid particular attention to the anatomical details of his subjects. "The Pheasant" is a naturalistic work, representing a game advancing in the vegetation, the outstretched neck and the beak slightly open. This bird rests on a base signed in hollow by the author. This pheasant, whose details, meticulously chiseled, are highlighted by the artist, will delight lovers of art and nature.
