Important Louis XV Mirror - Late 18th Century

This important Louis XV mirror in gilded wood, oval in shape, has a large openwork and fully carved frame. It is adorned, on the edge of the circumference, with eight motifs in relief, composed of shells, acanthus leaves and scrolls, all arranged in regular spaces. The interior grooves are meticulously chiseled. We return to the outside of the frame, identical patterns, more discreet, bringing a depth of field effect by superposition. This property is equipped with a rear mirror, it is also equipped with an iron ring and a cord, necessary for its installation. Can only admire it in the room that will be intended for it, this large bicentenary mirror is the reflection of the know-how of the 18th century.
