Important circular pedestal table attributed to François Honoré Georges JACOB dit Jacob-Desmalter. Period 1st Empire 1805 / 1810. Entirely made of mahogany and flamed mahogany veneer varnished with a buffer. The entablature entablature with triple projection is embellished with a bronze strapping resting on three sheath legs joined by a curved spacer supporting in the center a blackened turned wooden basin resting on three bronze ram-headed legs. The sheaths surmounted by Athenian heads in chiseled and gilded bronze finished with two feet in Spartans also in gilded bronze resting on mahogany bases on bronze casters. Turquin blue marble top with basin (slight insignificant accident) Very good general condition.
