This premium nude painting was executed by the famous Hungarian nude painter Maria Szantho (1897 - 1998), who has been popular for almost a century. She was born in Szeged, Hungary, in 1897 and studied in her native country under the tutelage of Kukan Geza. In 1924, the artist began exhibiting his paintings at the Mucsarnok Salon in Budapest, mainly depicting female nudes. Critics note that in her creative work Szantho was first influenced by Hungarian artists Lotz and Benczur, but later developed her own original style.
