Beautiful letter opener orPaper Cupof Empire Style in silver (vermeil in used condition) and ivory.
** XIXth century **
Longueur : 27,5 cm / Largeur maxi. 3,7 cm / Profondeur : 1,1 cm
Bears the head punch of Minerva and Master Goldsmith * (goldsmith's punch to identify, see the last photo on this subject).
Richly crafted Empire style model whose upper part of the handle enclosing the ivory blade shows on each side a swan in attack posture, neck folded and wings raised. T
he handle decorated with vertical grooves and lines of water leaves framed by two rings with the same patterns and crossed ribbons.
The end of the handle flares out like a fan adorned with laurels, foliage scrolls and palmettes.
