Wetterstein Mountains With Zugspitze By Erwin Kettemann (german, 1897-1971)

Panoramic view of Wetterstein mountains with Zugspitze ( zwischen Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Austrian Tirol) was executed by good listed Munich landscape painter Erwin Kettemann (1897 Munich - 1971 Tegernsee).

Erwin Kettemann was born in Munich in 1897 and became a successful Munich landscape painter. He saw himself in the tradition of mountain and landscape painters of the late 19th century.

He preferred the Chiemsee and the Bavarian Alps as motifs for his paintings.
