Object description :

"Gilbert Galland (1870-1950) Lively Street In The Old Quarters Of Marseille"
Colorful and lively this animated scene of the Old Quarters of Marseille by the artist Gilbert Galland. The work in good condition is offered in a simple frame under glass of the golden rush type, which measures 50 cm by 40 cm and 37.5 cm by 28 cm for the watercolor at sight. A slight reflection of the glass appears on the photos but invisible in reality. It represents a street animated by characters in the popular Old Quarters, certainly in Marseille where the artist had his habits. Warm colors and a skilful and safe drawing give a lot of charm and life to this watercolor signed lower left.
