"[sisyphe, Rider (camille)] - Notes From A Deaf Man. éditions Frère, Circa 1880, Well Bound."
[RIDER] - [SISYPHE, RIDER (Camille)] - Notes from a deaf man. Paris, Éditions Frère, around 1880; in-8, approximately 80 fascicles containing between 16 and 20 pages, red half-morocco binding with corners, spine decorated with 5 raised bands, cover of the first preserved fascicle. Work without publisher or place of publication. It was published by a Nancyian and printed by Ed. Frère around 1880 in deliveries, approximately 500 pages. The author takes the train whenever he is bored. This book is a transcription of conversations recorded using a portable gramophone made by Bellieny in Nancy, as well as transcriptions of papers found on the train. Sisyphe is in fact the pseudonym of Camille Cavalier. Very curious.
