MATHURIN MOREAU IS A FRENCH SCULPTOR, BORN IN DIJON IN 1822 and died in PARIS IN 1912.
Mathurin MOREAU WAS ADMITTED TO THE SCHOOL OF FINE ARTS IN PARIS IN 1841 IN THE WORKSHOP OF JULES RAMEY AND AUGUSTE DUMONT.
IN 1842 he won the second Prix de Rome and debuted at the Salon des Artistes Français
In 1855 he obtained a medal at the Universal Exhibition in Paris.

THIS RARE SCULPTURE  IS PLACED ON A BASE MADE OF MARBLE  ROUGE ROYAL USED  BY LOUIS XIV FOR VERSAILLES ) 
 WHICH ROTATES  GIVING THE OPPORTUNITY TO BE SEING  FROM ALL ANGLES  WITH SILVER MOLDING AT ITS BASE.
