"François Morellet, Sphere-frame, 1962"
François Morellet is a world-renowned French painter, engraver and sculptor. Major player in geometric and minimalist abstraction of the second half of the 20th century. He likes to play with geometric shapes, mathematics and the laws of chance, often not without humor. He is one of the very rare contemporary artists present at the Louvre Museum where he created a work in the Richelieu wing in 2010. The "frame-sphere" that we present here is an emblematic work by François Morellet, present at the MOMA of New York in a large format. This is one of the smallest models measuring 33 cm in diameter. It is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from the artist's hand.
