This beautiful centerpiece is designed like a Renaissance stepped fountain.
Two large basins with wide, upturned and cut rims are held by a highly ornamented bronze column foot. The hexagonal base with cabochon motifs supports a crown of fruit. A hexagonal column also decorated with Renaissance panels and scrolled consoles supports the first basin. Between the two basins, the column is decorated with cabochons and three intertwined dolphins.
A bronze corolla supports the crystal flower arrangement arranged as a fleuron for this centrepiece and, with the basins, in a way, imagining the movement of water in this fountain shape. This is a restoration work, with very detailed chiseling and exceptional glasswork of the crystal (Le Creusot or Baccarat).
Two large crystal covered cups matching the basins and with a hexagonal base like the centrepiece create an elegant symmetrical suite. Note the foot of these cups and the grip of the lid with a "controlled" air bubble, which is a feat of glassmaking.

Condition:
very good condition, intact glassware, only chips at the base of the fleurier, part which is in the bronze corolla therefore invisible. Shiny ground gold, very little worn, silvering a little faded. The internal thread fixing has been redone to allow assembly and disassembly without risk of breakage, the old system was oxidized.

Above all: height: 72 cm, base diameter: 19 cm, basin diameter: 39 and 35 cm. Vase: height: 33 cm, base diameter: 11 cm, large width: 22 cm.
