Louis XVI Style Mahogany Pedestal Desk

Large flat desk with two drawers, opening with seven drawers with locks, green leather-covered top with a gold vignette around the edge and patterns in the corners. Beautiful cabinetmaking from the early 20th century, this Louis XVI style desk is double-sided, elegant and functional, the drawers, the edge of the top and the panels on the back are highlighted with a brass bead. The top has a rounded recess in each corner which covers the column base hollowed out with grooves, the whole is supported by eight small spinning top feet dressed in bronze sabots.
