"Divination Board, Yoruba People, Nigeria Or Benin"
Oval-shaped tray used for divination. It is decorated with a frieze of interlacing on the side. At the top, the sculptor has represented two faces in a very original way. Indeed, they are superimposed. The work is fine and delicate.
Wood with a patina of use, slight traces of blue pigment in places. Small hole at the back that must have been made to fix the tray.
