Terracotta chalice, polychrome slip and partially covered with a layer of gold and colored engravings of puttis. Stylized shaft decorated with twisted vine shoots. Signed and dated under the foot 90. Height 15 cms Diameter 10 cms. Alain Girel is a French sculptor, ceramist, potter, born in 1945 and died in 2001. He collaborated, in particular, with the Maisons Hermès, and Daum. He created, with Christian Lacroix, a collection of jewelry.
