CREIXAMS Pierre, Pedro Born November 9, 1893 in Barcelona. Died March 4, 1965 in Barcelona. 20th century. Active in France. Spanish. Genre painter, typical scenes, portraits, landscapes, gouache painter, illustrator. After studying in Barcelona, he chose to pursue a career in theater, then came to Paris in 1918 where he worked as a typographer. Three years later, he devoted himself to painting and began participating in the Salons d'Automne, des Artistes Indépendants and des Tuileries in Paris. He returned to Barcelona in 1927, but soon returned to Paris where he settled permanently. He made several illustrations, including À une courtisane by Baudelaire, Le Fond du cœur by André Gaillard, La Guérison supérieure by J. Paulhan, Arrêts ataires by G. Pullings. Spanish painter, claiming to be from the School of Paris, he mainly painted typical Spanish scenes, ladies with fans, harlequins, gypsies, treated with large brush strokes, in bright colors.
