City (or court) sword, silver gilt handle - France, late 18th century The mount was made of vermeil (gilded silver), unfortunately only tiny traces of the gilding remain. Openwork silver mount decorated with small pearls throughout. Double-edged blade with median ridge. The guard has some play. Total length 99cm Blade length 84cm Weight 414gr
