"Fish Vase"
This fish-shaped vase was made from blue glazed ceramic, a slip. It has beautiful proportions which give it a real decorative value, enhanced by the brilliance and depth of the gros bleu, or deep blue of France, glaze. It was made at the turn of Art Nouveau towards Art Deco, in the 1920s, especially since we perceive a Far Eastern influence in its design.
