"Louis XVI Period Cushioned Bench "
Superb and elegant Louis XVI period cushioned bench in beech. It rests on 4 fluted spindle legs at the front and on 3 at the back. The armrests are originally upholstered and end with a scroll. The high back is in gendarme hat and the seat is cushioned for better comfort. All the cabinetwork is re-champagned originally which gives a lot of charm to the whole, the seat and all the upholstery have been redone in a damask fabric in shades of blue and gray. Quality work entirely of 18th century origin with a newly redone seat. Great comfort for this quality cushion in very good condition.
