Very nice pair of carved wood applique, having been part of a furniture, woodwork, sixteenth or seventeenth century, dark oak, carved ronde-bosse. Two feminine beauties, two sisters in the simplest apparatus, each carrying their hand in the womb: they are mothers: the Earth and its fruits, the Sea, fish and shell. Wonderful objects.
Dimensions: 23cm x 9cm each. Condition of discovery: quite good, each with a trace of glue, more or less awkward.
