"Bridal Box? Glass End 18th."
Small glass snuff box format assembled by embossed and gilded cardboard lace decorated with water leaves, diamonds and palmettes. The inner strapping is also made of cardboard. The double-bottomed cover is curved, and presents a flowered basket in golden metallic wire and colored fabric. Rare and unusual object because very fragile. Some accidents and losses (see photos). Its use is unknown to me. Maybe a souvenir gift of expertise, or a wedding box ?? Period late 18th century.
