Tea table inlaid with flowers with central medallion representing a romantic sceneof a mother and her two children located in Menton on the French coast. Remarkable precision work of the characters.
The top is multi-lobed with a frieze of flowers inlaid with light wood in garlands, on a black background.
Very beautiful veining of walnut, and games of colored wood, maple, rosewood and fillets, a real painting.
Probably from Sorrento.
Inscription the city of "Menton" certainly a special order, by the Italian workshops.
XIXth century excellent condition.
